Microsoft has announced a major offer for students. The company is providing the Microsoft 365 Personal plan along with Copilot completely free for one full year. Usually, students get only a three-month free trial of this plan, after which they must pay a discounted fee. However, under this special offer, all productivity applications and premium Copilot features will be available at no cost for twelve months. This is a limited-time offer.
Microsoft revealed this announcement on X (formerly Twitter). Any student who has completed high school and is currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree is eligible for this offer. Students who are not enrolled in a recognized degree program cannot access this benefit.
The offer must be claimed before November 30. After that, it will no longer be available. As of now, this free plan is offered only in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The Microsoft 365 Personal plan is meant for a single user, but it allows access across multiple devices at the same time. It provides enhanced versions of email services, video meetings, word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, file storage, and several other tools. All these applications feature the Copilot AI sidebar, which adds an intelligent layer of support. Copilot also includes advanced capabilities such as deep research, audio-based explanations, and visual analysis.
Students will additionally have access to tools for creating images and videos. The plan also provides a total of 1TB of cloud storage across email and file backup services. Overall, students get the complete Microsoft 365 experience powered by AI, absolutely free for an entire year.
