Meta Unveils Muse Charm AI Device

Meta has unveiled Muse Charm, a compact standalone device that brings its Muse AI assistant out of the smartphone and into a portable form. The device was introduced at the company’s Connect 2026 event, where CEO Mark Zuckerberg showcased it alongside Meta’s latest AI glasses and virtual reality hardware. Muse Charm features a small display with an animated Muse avatar, a fingerprint sensor, a front-facing camera and an action button, allowing users to interact with the AI through real-time voice without opening a phone or app.

Meta says Muse Charm is designed for people who want access to Muse when they are not using the company’s smart glasses. The device can be carried in a pocket or attached to a keychain, while Muse can perform tasks such as sending emails, booking tickets and filling out forms through a dedicated virtual machine called Muse Secure VM. The AI can also retain information from previous conversations and use that context later. The device is still under development, with its price and complete specifications yet to be announced. Meta said it is expected to be ready for the holiday season in December.
