Meta has rolled out a major software update for its Ray-Ban Display smart glasses, introducing new messaging, navigation, and accessibility features. The update brings Neural Handwriting support, allowing users to type messages using finger gestures while using apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. Meta has also added a new recording feature that combines display visuals, camera footage, and audio into a single video.
The company has expanded navigation support across the US and major cities including London, Paris, and Rome. Meta also opened developer preview access, enabling third-party developers to create web apps and extend mobile apps to the smart glasses. The company confirmed that a new AI model called Muse Spark will arrive on the platform later this year.
