Meta is reportedly developing a new AI detection tool for its chatbot, Meta AI, which could identify AI-generated content. The feature is still under development and not yet available to users. Details about its full functionality and public release timeline remain unclear.
A screenshot shared by TestingCatalog on X (formerly Twitter) shows a new “AI Detector” menu option within Meta AI. However, since the feature is not active on the server side, tapping it currently leads to a broken link. The detection tool might allow users to spot AI-generated text, images, audio, or video, but specifics are not confirmed.
Meanwhile, Meta’s upcoming large language models, codenamed Avocado, are reportedly facing delays due to performance issues, as they are not yet competitive with other models in the market. This adds to the uncertainty around Meta AI’s new developments.
