The updated Maruti Brezza is witnessing strong demand in the Indian market, with bookings crossing the 95,000-unit mark. Maruti Suzuki expects the order tally to reach 1 lakh soon, highlighting the compact SUV’s popularity. The model was launched in late July with prices ranging from Rs 7.39 lakh to Rs 13.55 lakh, ex-showroom. Despite the company selling more than 15,000 Brezza units in September, demand continues to remain higher than available supply.
To address the growing order backlog and reduce waiting periods, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to increase Brezza production at its Kharkhoda manufacturing facility in Haryana. The plant currently produces the Brezza and Victoris SUVs. With its second manufacturing unit becoming operational earlier this year, the Kharkhoda facility now has an annual production capacity of 5 lakh vehicles. The company’s production expansion is expected to help meet customer demand more efficiently.
