Jack Dorsey’s Block Launches ‘Buzz’, an AI-Powered Workplace Collaboration Platform

Block, the technology company founded by Jack Dorsey, has launched Buzz, a new workplace collaboration platform designed to enable employees and third-party AI agents to work together in a shared environment. The application functions as a group chat platform while integrating AI-driven workflows, aiming to reduce enterprise dependence on collaboration tools such as Slack and GitHub. Buzz includes features such as discussion threads, direct messaging, voice communication, code repositories, and workflow automation.

Built as an open-source, model-agnostic, and decentralised platform, Buzz allows developers to customise the software according to their organisational needs. The application is currently in its early stages and is available as a free desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux, with its source code hosted on GitHub. The launch comes as enterprises increasingly adopt AI agents to automate workplace tasks, while Block continues to expand its AI-focused strategy following its recent workforce restructuring.
