iQOO is reportedly preparing to introduce a new smartphone, the iQOO Neo 12, which has attracted attention following a series of online leaks. Recent reports suggest that the device has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform under model number V2618A. The listing is said to indicate a Qualcomm SM8850 chipset, associated with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, along with up to 16GB of RAM. The phone may run Android 17, although these details have not been officially confirmed by the company.
Leaks also suggest that the iQOO Neo 12 could feature a 6.83-inch flat display with 2K resolution and a high refresh rate, potentially aimed at gaming and smoother scrolling. Another rumoured highlight is a 9,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and enhanced water and dust resistance have also been mentioned in reports. The smartphone may launch in China during the final week of October, while some reports suggest that it could be marketed internationally as the iQOO 16R. However, the launch schedule, pricing, Indian availability and final specifications remain unconfirmed.
