iQOO is reportedly preparing to introduce its next flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, in India. The device is expected to target the premium smartphone segment with a high-refresh-rate display, a large battery, a powerful processor and advanced camera hardware. According to leaks, the phone could launch in December 2026 or early 2027, with an estimated price of around ₹1 lakh. For comparison, the iQOO 15 was launched at a starting price of ₹85,999. However, the iQOO 16’s name, launch schedule and pricing have not been officially confirmed, and the final price may vary depending on the storage variant and market conditions.
Leaks suggest that the iQOO 16 could feature a 6.85-inch 2K+ M16 LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a claimed peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits. It may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series flagship chipset alongside a dedicated Q4 gaming chip, although the exact processor details remain unconfirmed. The phone is also rumoured to pack an 8,400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. Its camera setup could include three 50MP rear cameras—a primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto camera with 3x zoom—along with a 32MP front camera. Android 17-based OriginOS 7 is also mentioned in leaks, but the software details for the Indian variant are yet to be confirmed.
