India is set to take another significant step towards strengthening its defence manufacturing capabilities. Tata Advanced Systems has signed an agreement with the United States to facilitate the production of Javelin anti-tank missiles in India. The partnership is aimed at creating local assembly and integration capabilities for the missile system.
The proposed facility is expected to strengthen India’s defence industrial base and increase domestic capabilities in advanced missile systems. The partnership could also support faster production and supply of Javelin missiles for the Indo-Pacific region. The development marks another step towards expanding India’s role in global defence manufacturing and strengthening strategic cooperation with the United States.
