Google has announced a major AI upgrade for Android devices with the introduction of Gemini Intelligence. Revealed during the Android Show I/O Edition event, the new AI-powered tools will soon roll out to select Android smartphones. With this feature, users can automate tasks like booking classes, adding shopping items, summarising webpages, and planning trips using photos and screen context.

Google is also integrating Gemini into Chrome on Android, allowing users to compare websites, research topics, and generate summaries directly on their phones. Additionally, users will soon be able to create AI-generated widgets using simple text commands. The company stated that users will have complete privacy controls and can decide which apps Gemini can access on their devices.
