Former Apple employee and IIT Kanpur alumna Praneeta Pujari has introduced UniqueHuman, a healthcare technology venture developing AI agents designed to predict potential health risks and coordinate personalised care for people with chronic conditions. After working on Apple Watch product planning for several years, Pujari launched the venture to address delays in healthcare by identifying warning signs earlier. Initially focusing on migraines, the platform aims to analyse smartwatch readings and other health information to anticipate possible episodes and help users connect with doctors. According to the company’s promotional demonstration, its AI agent, Niq, is designed to support multiple stages of care, including coordinating appointments, managing medication and assisting with insurance-related processes.
Pujari says her motivation comes partly from managing her mother’s chronic pain and living with migraines herself. Rather than developing another wearable device, UniqueHuman aims to combine health data, personal context and AI-driven insights with clinical care. The company says it is collaborating with healthcare institutions and using infrastructure designed to protect sensitive health information. Pujari previously worked at Apple from 2019 to 2025 and has held product-related roles at Amazon and Flipkart. She holds a mechanical engineering degree from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. While the platform aims to make healthcare more proactive and personalised, its predictive capabilities and clinical effectiveness will need to be established through appropriate validation.
