Claude Gets New Features.. Here They Are!

Anthropic has expanded the capabilities of Claude’s Google Workspace connectors, giving the AI chatbot greater control over Gmail and Google Drive. The updated connectors allow Claude to perform more tasks on behalf of users while working within their existing Workspace accounts.

In Gmail, Claude can draft replies, send emails and respond to existing email threads. The AI will ask users for approval before sending, replying to or forwarding messages. Team and Enterprise organisations can configure these actions to be performed without requiring approval every time.

The updated Google Drive connector also offers broader file-management capabilities. Claude can search for and retrieve documents, view file metadata, share, move and delete files, create folders and save files generated by Claude directly to Google Drive.

The connectors continue to support existing features across Gmail, Google Drive and Google Calendar. Claude can access email metadata, organise messages using labels and threads, and view saved drafts. Through Google Calendar, it can view and create events, find mutual availability, arrange meetings and manage attendee lists.
