Google launched its AI Plus plan in India as an entry-level AI subscription, directly competing with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go plan. Both plans are priced similarly at Rs. 399 per month and offer unique perks, creating a choice dilemma for users. Each plan targets India’s price-sensitive audience while providing access to advanced AI tools and features.
The Google AI Plus plan offers higher access to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro-powered image generation, and Veo 3.1 Fast for video creation. Subscribers also get 200 monthly credits for Whisk and Flow apps, Deep Research tools, AI chatbot integration in Workspace apps, higher NotebookLM limits, and 200GB of cloud storage across Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
ChatGPT Go provides expanded ChatGPT access, multimodal tools, longer memory, and premium tools like Deep Research, but lacks cloud storage or productivity app integration. Google AI Plus may appeal more to users invested in Google’s ecosystem, offering an all-in-one AI productivity bundle, especially for creators needing visuals, videos, and document-to-image workflows.
