On the second day of the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Bengaluru-based Bharat1 announced plans to build the world’s first “humanity first” AI city in Bengaluru. The aim is not to let AI run the entire city but to create a city scale simulation where AI agents and physical AI systems can be stress tested in real world scenarios.
Bharat1 plans a 5,00,000 sq ft AI research and innovation campus in Sarjapura, Bengaluru. The campus will include model training, fine tuning, plug and play labs, and connectivity to AI cloud services. The goal is to develop universal intelligence frameworks, build open city scale models using high quality multimodal data, and validate agentic and physical AI systems under controlled real world conditions.
CoFounder and CEO Umakant Soni said that AI intelligence is moving out of labs into society. Scaling systems without testing in complex real world environments is risky. “The B1 AI Superpark is the first step toward a city scale validation framework where agentic and physical AI can evolve responsibly, not just powerfully”, he added.
