Ban on 1.7 Million Apps

Google has taken strict action to clean up the Play Store, banning 1.75 million apps that violated policies or were identified as fake. The company also blocked 80,000 developer accounts associated with harmful or fraudulent apps, aiming to provide a safer experience for Android users.

In addition, Google deleted 16 crore spam ratings and fake feedbacks and prevented 2.55 lakh apps from unnecessarily accessing location, photos, or other personal information. The move reinforces Google’s commitment to user privacy and app security on its platform.
