Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming industries worldwide and creating major shifts in the technology sector. A recent survey conducted by the New York Stock Exchange–Oliver Wyman Forum warned that entry-level white-collar jobs could face significant challenges due to the growing adoption of AI tools. The report, based on responses from around 415 CEOs globally, stated that nearly half of them are becoming reluctant to hire fresh graduates for entry-level roles.
Companies are increasingly using AI for tasks such as coding, document analysis, report generation, and customer support, reducing the need for fresh recruits. Instead, organizations are focusing more on experienced professionals to supervise AI systems and make critical decisions. The survey also noted that while AI can automate many routine tasks, it still struggles with practical judgment and understanding real-world complexities, making human expertise essential.
