American tech giant Apple on Wednesday unveiled its most affordable laptop, the MacBook Neo, which is expected to compete with Google Chromebooks. Unlike the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, the new MacBook Neo runs on the Class-A series chip used in iPhones. The launch signals Apple’s move to attract budget-conscious consumers while expanding its laptop lineup.
While Apple’s MacBook range traditionally starts at $999, the MacBook Neo will be available from $599. The device features the full macOS operating system, a 13-inch display, minimum 256GB storage, and up to 16 hours of battery life. Deliveries of the MacBook Neo are scheduled to begin from the 11th of this month.
