Artificial intelligence startup Anthropic has announced a major funding milestone, raising $65 billion in its latest Series H funding round. The investment has pushed the company’s post-money valuation to an impressive $965 billion, making it one of the most valuable AI companies in the world. The new valuation places Anthropic ahead of OpenAI, which was last valued at $852 billion in March 2026. The company stated that the fresh capital will be used to expand computing infrastructure, meet growing demand for its Claude AI chatbot, and accelerate product development.
Anthropic’s valuation has more than doubled since February 2026, when it was valued at $380 billion, highlighting the rapid growth of the AI sector and increasing investor confidence. According to the company, enterprise adoption of Claude continues to rise globally, with annualized revenue surpassing $47 billion earlier this month. The funding round was led by major investment firms, including Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, while strategic partners such as Amazon, Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix also participated. Industry analysts believe the latest development intensifies competition between Anthropic and OpenAI as both companies prepare for future expansion and potential public listings.
