Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has raised serious concerns about artificial intelligence while appearing in a US court. The hearing began on Tuesday regarding the case he filed against OpenAI. On the first day, Musk accused the organization of going against its original promise of being non-profit. He claimed that the company is now focused mainly on making profits rather than serving humanity.
Musk explained that he supported the creation of OpenAI to ensure that AI development would remain safe and beneficial. He wanted a non-profit organization that could compete with big tech companies like Google without focusing on profits. For this reason, he joined hands with Sam Altman during the early days of the company.
He also warned that uncontrolled AI development could pose a serious risk to human existence. Musk’s statements have once again sparked a global debate about the future of AI and the need for strict regulations to ensure it is used responsibly.
