A new multi-model system from perplexity

Perplexity AI on Wednesday announced Perplexity Computer, a new multi model AI workflow system designed to handle complex research and task execution. The system enables multiple AI models to collaborate within a unified interface, aiming to deliver more accurate and efficient results compared to single-model chat systems.

Perplexity Computer can break down complex queries into smaller tasks, assign them to specialised models, and combine the outputs into structured reports. It integrates web search capabilities to retrieve and cite trusted sources. Users can also upload documents for deep analysis, summarisation, and insight extraction, making it suitable for advanced research and multi-step reasoning tasks.

The service is currently available to Max plan subscribers on a credit-based pricing model. Subscribers receive 10,000 monthly credits along with bonus credits at launch. The company plans to extend access to Pro and Enterprise users soon, expanding availability beyond Max subscribers.
