Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has urged the BCCI and Team India management to end the speculation surrounding the future of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He said the board should clearly state whether the two senior players are part of India's plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Having already retired from T20Is and Tests, Rohit and Kohli are currently active only in the ODI format.
Reflecting on his own experience, Yuvraj said that if the management wants Rohit and Kohli to continue until the 2027 World Cup, they should be given complete backing and confidence. However, if they are not part of the long-term plans, the decision should be communicated honestly and directly. He stressed that transparency and respect are essential when dealing with senior cricketers.
