In a thrilling match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 held on Friday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) registered a convincing 32-run victory over Gujarat Giants (GG). With this win, RCB recorded a hat-trick of victories in the tournament and continued to dominate the points table. The match once again highlighted RCB’s all-round strength and growing confidence in the competition.
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, RCB suffered an early setback as Gujarat bowler Kashvee Gautam struck with disciplined bowling. RCB were reduced to 45 for 4, finding themselves under pressure in the powerplay. At that crucial juncture, Radha Yadav played a responsible and attacking knock, scoring 66 runs off 47 balls to steady the innings. She found strong support from Richa Ghosh, who contributed a quick 44 off 28 balls, as the duo added a vital 105-run partnership for the fifth wicket. In the death overs, Nadine de Klerk provided the finishing touches with a brisk 26 off just 12 balls, helping RCB post a competitive total of 182/7 in 20 overs.

Chasing a target of 183, Gujarat Giants struggled right from the start against RCB’s disciplined bowling attack and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Young spinner Shreyanka Patil delivered a match-winning spell, picking up five wickets and dismantling the Gujarat batting line-up. Lauren Bell provided excellent support with three wickets, as Gujarat were bowled out for 150 in 18.5 overs. With this result, RCB remained unbeaten after three matches, while Gujarat Giants suffered their second defeat of the season.
