

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction recently concluded, attracting major attention from cricket fans across the country. Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma emerged as the highest-priced player, with the UP Warriors acquiring her using the RTM (Right to Match) card for ₹3.20 crore.
New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr was picked up by the Mumbai Indians for ₹3 crore, while Indian all-rounder Shikha Pandey went to the UP Warriors for ₹2.40 crore. Veteran New Zealand player Sophie Ecclestone was signed by the Gujarat Giants for ₹2 crore.
Following the successful auction, the complete schedule for WPL 2026 has now been officially released.

The WPL 2026 season will begin on January 9 with the opening match between the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Navi Mumbai. The grand final will be held on February 5 in Vadodara. All matches of this season will be played across these two venues.
As always, five teams will compete for the prestigious title — Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriors.
