Kohli expressed disappointment over inconsistent communication from the team management and said he would continue only when the team genuinely believed in his value and contribution.

The former captain also criticised what he described as changing attitudes from selectors and coaches. Kohli said it was unfair to support a player one week and question him the next. He stressed that clarity and honesty were important, adding that he no longer needed to prove his worth to anyone.
