KL Rahul, despite the pressures of captaincy, has maintained excellent form with the bat. In this series, he has already scored two half-centuries, making 60 runs off 56 balls in the first match and an unbeaten 66 off 43 balls in the recent game, showcasing his consistency. Known for his calm and composed demeanor on the field, Rahul lost his patience with pacer Prasidh Krishna during the second ODI in Raipur, firmly instructing him to follow his bowling plan without deviation.
Both Rahul and Prasidh hail from Karnataka, and the exchange took place in their native language, Kannada. Representing Karnataka in domestic cricket, Rahul clearly communicated his expectations and strategies to Prasidh. With regular captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer unavailable for the series, the leadership responsibilities fell on Rahul. While he continues to perform brilliantly with the bat, he emphasized the importance of focus and discipline in bowling.
