Team India sealed the ODI series against South Africa with a 2-1 victory and celebrated the win at their hotel in style. Young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored his maiden ODI century, was asked by Virat Kohli to cut the cake. As Jaiswal shared pieces with his teammates, Virat happily joined in. However, Rohit Sharma politely declined the cake, sticking firmly to his fitness routine. The light-hearted moment was caught on camera and is now going viral across social media platforms.
When Jaiswal approached Rohit to offer him cake, the Indian skipper smiled and responded, “I will put on weight again. I’m on a strict diet. No for me.” His humorous remark left everyone around him laughing. After retiring from Tests and T20s, Rohit is now focusing only on ODIs and has been working intensely on his fitness under the guidance of Abhishek Nayar. Following a strict diet plan, he has reportedly lost around 10 kilograms and appears significantly leaner and fitter.
