Prithvi Shaw reminded everyone of his batting brilliance with a breathtaking double century as Maharashtra dominated Chandigarh in their ongoing domestic clash. The right-handed opener blasted 222 runs off just 156 balls, smashing 29 fours and 5 sixes in a power-packed innings that left Chandigarh bowlers clueless. Shaw’s fireworks powered Maharashtra to set a mammoth target of 464 runs, putting them firmly in control of the game.
While Chandigarh lost an early wicket, opener Manan Vohra steadied the innings with a solid century stand by stumps. The visitors will need 335 more runs on the final day to pull off an unlikely chase.
Elsewhere, Jammu and Kashmir secured a convincing innings victory over Rajasthan, with Auqib Nabi taking a seven-wicket haul. Haryana crushed Tripura by nine wickets in a low-scoring affair, and Yash Dhull’s quickfire 70 helped Delhi tighten their grip against Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, Dega Nischal’s unbeaten 161 for Nagaland frustrated Tamil Nadu’s bowlers, while Saransh Jain’s resilient century guided Madhya Pradesh to a crucial first-innings lead over Saurashtra.
