After completing the Test and ODI series in the South Africa tour, Team India is now preparing for the T20 format. The five-match T20 series will be played from December 9 to 19, and the selectors have announced a 15-member squad for this series. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team as captain, while Shubman Gill has been appointed vice-captain. All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who has been away from cricket due to injury, is set to make his comeback in this series. Gill, who missed the ODIs after getting injured during the Test series, will also return to the T20 squad once he receives BCCI’s clearance. Meanwhile, Rinku Singh has been dropped from the squad due to poor form.
Young talents like Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Shivam Dube have been given a good opportunity in the team. With key bowlers such as Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakravarthy in the squad, the series is expected to be highly competitive. 2nd Match: December 11 – Mullanpur
3rd Match: December 14 – Dharamshala
