

Telangana athlete Pravallika Narimalla brought glory to India by winning the gold medal in the women's 4x400m relay at the Asian U-23 Athletics Championships 2026 held in Ordos, China. Teaming up with Shravani Sachin Sangle, Sandramol Sabu, and Nofisa Khatun, the Indian quartet clocked 3:33.62 to secure first place. China claimed the silver medal, while Kazakhstan finished with bronze. India concluded the championship with an impressive tally of 16 medals, including 3 gold, 4 silver, and 9 bronze.
Congratulating Pravallika on her remarkable achievement, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy praised her determination and dedication. He noted that the athlete, who studied at the SC Gurukul Degree College in Nalgonda and trained at the Dindi Gurukul Sports Academy, has become an inspiration to young sportspersons. Appreciating her journey from a humble background, the Chief Minister also congratulated her coaches and the entire Indian contingent for their outstanding performance at the championship.
