The Sports Authority of Telangana (SAT) successfully concluded the three-day "Telangana Sports Knowledge on Wheels" programme across all 33 district headquarters with an overwhelming response from athletes, coaches, Physical Education Teachers (PETs), and Physical Directors (PDs). The initiative, launched by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Indian Olympic Association President P. T. Usha at the Gachibowli Stadium, aimed to promote scientific sports education and strengthen the sporting culture across the state, particularly in rural areas.
Each mobile team comprised expert coaches, a physiotherapist, senior athletes, and a special officer who conducted practical sessions on sports science, modern training techniques, injury prevention, rehabilitation, hydration, sports nutrition, stress management, and athletes' mental health. Telangana Sports Authority Managing Director Dr. Soni Bala Devi said the first phase had been completed successfully and announced plans to expand the programme to important constituency centres and other active sports regions to benefit a larger number of aspiring athletes.
