In a match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan registered a convincing 32-run victory over the United States. After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Pakistan ended up batting first and posted a formidable total of 190 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Chasing a challenging target of 191, the USA team came under pressure from the outset and failed to build any significant partnerships. Losing wickets at regular intervals 42/1, 58/2, 69/3, 123/4, 124/5, 152/6, 152/7 and 156/8 the United States eventually managed 158 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Shubham Ranjane was the standout performer with the bat, scoring a half-century (51 runs), while Jahangir contributed 49 runs and Milind Kumar added 29. However, their efforts were not enough to prevent defeat.
For Pakistan, Farhan top-scored with an impressive 73, while captain Babar Azam played a solid knock of 46. Shadab Khan chipped in with 30 runs and Saim Ayub added 19. Among the USA bowlers, pacer Shadley van Schalkwyk impressed by claiming four wickets, while Mohammad Mohsin, Harmeet Singh and Netravalkar picked up one wicket each. Notably, Pakistan’s Usman Khan and Abrar Ahmed were run out. With this victory, Pakistan avenged their loss to the USA in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the Americans had defeated them in a Super Over.
