

Team India’s young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has created a remarkable record in T20 World Cup history. He broke Jasprit Bumrah’s record to become India’s leading wicket-taker in the tournament’s history. This achievement came during the Super-8 match against Zimbabwe at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Arshdeep took three crucial wickets in the match, dismissing Sikandar Raza, Ryan Burl and Tony Munyonga, playing a key role in India’s victory. With these wickets, his total number of wickets in T20 World Cups has now reached 35, surpassing Bumrah’s previous record of 33. Ravichandran Ashwin (32) stands third on the list, followed by Hardik Pandya (29) and Ravindra Jadeja (22). In the ongoing tournament, Arshdeep has already taken 8 wickets in 5 matches, standing second only to Varun Chakravarthy (11).
