Chasing a target of 177, the Proteas reached 177/1 in just 16.1 overs. Captain Aiden Markram led from the front with an unbeaten 82 off 46 balls, including seven fours and four sixes. Quinton de Kock contributed 47, while Ryan Rickelton remained unbeaten on 45 to seal the emphatic win. With two victories, South Africa climbed to the top of the points table.
Earlier, West Indies posted 176/8 in their 20 overs. Romario Shepherd smashed an unbeaten 52, and Jason Holder added a crucial 49. Among the South African bowlers, Lungi Ngidi claimed three wickets, while Kagiso Rabada and Corbin Bosch picked up two wickets each. Roston Chase was the lone wicket-taker for West Indies during South Africa’s aggressive chase.
