India captain Shubman Gill created history in the second ODI against the West Indies in Guwahati by smashing a double century in just 117 balls. Gill reached the 200-run mark with 24 fours and seven sixes, becoming the fastest batter in ODI history to score a double century.
With this feat, Gill became only the second batter after Rohit Sharma to score multiple double centuries in ODI cricket. His first double century came against New Zealand in Hyderabad in 2023, when he scored 208 runs off 149 balls. Gill's latest landmark came while India were chasing a target of 406 against the West Indies.
