Shreyas Iyer blames poor bowling for defeat

Team India captain Shreyas Iyer reacted strongly to the defeat in the fourth T20I against the West Indies in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. He clarified that the main reason for this defeat was poor bowling. However, he fully defended the team's batting style. India lost the match by 24 runs, leveling the five-match series 2-2.

After the match, Shreyas Iyer said, "Our bowling is the reason for the defeat. The bowlers failed to bowl with the right line and length. Our batting style was good in chasing the target of 250 runs. But our inability to execute the bowling plans properly hurt us."

Iyer praised the pitch for being a little supportive to the bowlers and the West Indies bowlers for making good use of it. He said that the way West Indies bounced back was amazing even when they were playing aggressively in the chase. He said that despite losing, scoring more than 220 runs is a testament to their aggressive batting attitude. Iyer expressed confidence that they will continue the same aggression and focus on executing the plans in the decisive final match of the series to be held in Bengaluru.
