Indian discus thrower Bhanwar Singh has been handed a seven year ban by the National Anti Doping Appellate Panel after failing a doping test. The 37-year old athlete had limited achievements in his career, with his notable performance being a second place finish at the Indian Grand Prix held in Bhubaneswar in 2022.
Meanwhile, long distance runner Harendra Kumar has received a four year suspension for the second consecutive time due to doping violations. The action reflects continued strict measures against the use of banned substances in athletics.
