Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has welcomed the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) newly introduced ‘Return to Play Post-Pregnancy’ guidelines for women cricketers. The initiative is aimed at supporting female athletes as they return to professional cricket after childbirth and ensuring a smoother transition back into competitive sport.
Sachin described the guidelines as a major step forward for the future of women’s cricket. He stated that true empowerment in sports means providing players with the right support at every stage of their lives. According to him, motherhood should not become a barrier to pursuing a professional sporting career. He praised the ICC’s decision as a positive move in the right direction and said it would inspire more women around the world to take up cricket and continue their careers with confidence after pregnancy.
