Rohit Sharma Creates History

India star opener Rohit Sharma has added another remarkable record to his ODI career. During the second ODI against West Indies in Guwahati, Rohit completed 200 sixes in ODI cricket on home soil, becoming the first batter in the history of the format to achieve the milestone in a single country.

Rohit now leads the list of batters with the most ODI sixes in their respective home countries. West Indies legend Chris Gayle is second with 147 sixes at home, followed by New Zealand’s Martin Guptill with 132. Brendon McCullum is fourth with 126 sixes, while former India captain MS Dhoni occupies fifth place with 123 sixes.
