India captain Rohit Sharma has put an end to speculation surrounding his retirement, clarifying that he has no plans to step away from international cricket. Speaking in an interview after the ODI series against England, Rohit said his only priority is to represent India and contribute to the team's success. He added that retirement rumours have followed him for years, but he does not pay attention to such discussions and prefers to focus solely on his performances on the field.

Reflecting on his long-standing partnership with Virat Kohli, Rohit said batting alongside him has always been an enjoyable experience. The third ODI at Lord's marked the 400th international match in which the duo played together, and they stitched together their 21st century partnership in ODIs. Rohit praised their mutual understanding and said they constantly exchange ideas in the middle to help the team. He also expressed disappointment over India's 27-run defeat in the third ODI, stating that the team fought hard until the very end.
