Visakhapatnam: In the crucial third ODI against South Africa, Indian captain and Hitman Rohit Sharma reached another rare milestone, setting a new record. He became the fourth Indian cricketer to complete 20,000 runs in international cricket. Rohit achieved this feat by taking a single on the fourth ball of the 14th over bowled by Keshav Maharaj. So far, Rohit has scored 11,468 runs in ODIs, 4,301 runs in Test cricket, and 4,231 runs in T20s. His consistent performance across all three formats has further strengthened his position among India’s most versatile players.
Previously, only three Indian legends had crossed the 20,000-run mark in international cricket Sachin Tendulkar (34,357 runs), Virat Kohli (27,910 runs), and Rahul Dravid (24,208 runs). Now, Rohit Sharma has joined that elite list, writing a new chapter in Indian cricket history. Achieving such a massive milestone while leading the team makes this a proud and memorable moment in Rohit’s career.
