Robin Uthappa's Advice to Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Former India cricketer Robin Uthappa has shared valuable advice for young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, urging him to stay focused on cricket despite his rapid rise. After finishing as the highest run-scorer in the 2026 IPL, Vaibhav earned a place in the Indian team and became the youngest Indian to debut in men's international cricket, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record. He also scored his maiden international fifty during India's tour of Zimbabwe.

Speaking in a YouTube interview, Uthappa said Vaibhav has the potential to leave an even greater impact than Sachin Tendulkar in white-ball cricket. However, he cautioned that proper guidance is essential, citing the careers of Vinod Kambli and Prithvi Shaw. Uthappa advised the youngster to avoid distractions such as endorsements and social media, remain committed to cricket, and continue his development. Vaibhav is expected to return to action at the Asian Games beginning on September 19.
