Hombale Films, the makers of blockbusters like KGF 1 & 2, Kantara, Salaar, and Mahavatar Narasimha, is now preparing to enter the cricket world in a big way. According to the latest reports, the renowned production house is in discussions to co-buy Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which is currently undergoing a major management transition. Since the franchise has reportedly been put up for sale, multiple new investors are showing interest — and Hombale Films has emerged as one of the strongest contenders to take over shared ownership of the team. This is not the first time Hombale Films and RCB have crossed paths.
The production house had previously collaborated with the franchise on branding and promotional activities. Stepping into co-ownership now could significantly boost RCB’s commercial value, combining the power of cinema, entertainment, and cricket under one banner. An official announcement is expected soon, and if finalized, this would mark one of the most exciting cross-industry partnerships in recent Indian sports history.
