After winning the toss, RCB captain Rajat Patidar opted to bowl first, and veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered a sensational spell, picking up 4 wickets for just 23 runs to dismantle Mumbai’s top order. However, Tilak Varma played a fighting knock of 57 runs, while Naman Dhir contributed 47 valuable runs to help Mumbai Indians post a competitive total of 166/7 in 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai bowlers kept the pressure on Bengaluru, with Corbin Bosch claiming four wickets. But Krunal Pandya turned the match around with a brilliant 73 off 46 balls.
