

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) ended their IPL 2026 campaign after a 47 run defeat against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match held on May 27 at Mullanpur (New Chandigarh). Rajasthan Royals posted a massive total of 243 runs in their innings, setting a challenging target of 244 runs for SRH.
In reply, SRH managed to score only 196 runs and fell short by 47 runs, getting eliminated from the tournament. Rajasthan bowlers maintained strong control despite conceding runs, with Jofra Archer taking 3 wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja, Sushant Mishra, and Nandre Burger claimed 2 wickets each. Yash Raj Punja also picked up 1 wicket.
Despite the loss, SRH had a strong batting season, highlighted by Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen. Both batters scored over 600 runs each in the season, becoming the 7th pair in IPL history to achieve 600+ runs in a single season for the same team, joining elite partnerships from RCB, CSK, and GT.
