Rain hampers IPL

Rain interrupted the ongoing Indian Premier League match, halting play early in the innings. Kolkata Knight Riders, who were aiming for a strong start at their home ground, faced an unexpected setback as showers began during the fourth over (3.4).

Following the sudden rain, players from both teams rushed back to the dugout while ground staff quickly covered the pitch and outfield. At the time of interruption, Kolkata had scored 25 runs for the loss of one wicket.

Earlier, after winning the toss and choosing to bat, Kolkata’s plans did not go as expected. Punjab Kings pacer Xavier Bartlett made an immediate impact by picking up two early wickets in his first over, putting Kolkata under pressure right from the start.
