

Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid has been officially announced as the owner of the Dublin Guardians franchise in the European T20 Premier League. Dravid said the league’s main aim is to strengthen cricket in Europe and provide opportunities for young players. He added that Dublin already has a strong cricket culture and the league could become a great platform for future generations.
Former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will captain the Dublin Guardians team. The league will feature teams from Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Several well known personalities, including Abhishek Bachchan, Jonty Rhodes, Chris Gayle and Steve Waugh, are associated with the tournament. The inaugural season will be held from August 26 to September 20.
