PV Sindhu produced a brilliant performance to enter the Open tournament final by defeating China’s Chen Yufei 21-19, 15-10 in the semifinal. After a closely contested opening game, Sindhu maintained her aggressive approach in the second game before Chen was forced to retire with a hamstring injury. Sindhu’s attacking transitions and confidence played a crucial role in her victory.
The semifinal featured a memorable 51-shot rally, which became one of the biggest highlights of the match. This is Sindhu’s first BWF World Tour final since the 2024 Syed Modi International. Having already defeated top-ranked opponents in the tournament, she will now aim to continue her impressive form in the final against either Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi or Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardani.
