Indian badminton star P. V. Sindhu achieved a historic milestone by registering her 500th career win in women’s singles, becoming the first Indian player to do so. She reached the quarterfinals of the Indonesia Masters Super 500 after defeating Denmark’s Line Højmark in straight games.
With this achievement, Sindhu became only the sixth woman in world badminton to reach 500 singles victories. Including doubles matches, her total international wins now stand at 516.
In men’s singles, Lakshya Sen advanced to the quarterfinals with a dominant win over Jason Gunawan of Hong Kong. Kidambi Srikanth exited the tournament after a loss to Chou Tien Chen, while other Indian players faced mixed results across singles and doubles events.
