Priyansh Arya starred with a blazing 56 off 33 balls, while captain Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 59 from 36 deliveries. Cooper Connolly contributed 38 runs, while Suryansh added an unbeaten 21. Prabhsimran Singh scored 18, Marcus Stoinis managed just one run, and Shashank Singh was dismissed for a duck.
Punjab dominated the powerplay, scoring 72 runs without losing a wicket in the first six overs, with Priyansh Arya smashing a half-century. However, Delhi bowlers pulled things back in the middle overs. At the halfway stage, Punjab were 107/2. For Delhi, Mitchell Starc and Madhav Tiwari picked up two wickets each, while Mukesh Kumar claimed one wicket. In the 19th over, Starc struck twice in consecutive deliveries to dismiss Stoinis and Shashank Singh. Earlier, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first.
