Prime Volleyball League Becomes India’s First FIVB-Recognised Professional League

Prime Volleyball League (PVL) has achieved a historic milestone by becoming India's first professional volleyball league to receive official recognition from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). The recognition reflects the league's consistent growth over the past four seasons and its contribution to developing talented Indian volleyball players. Season 5 is scheduled to begin on November 30, while the player auction will take place in Goa on August 17.

With FIVB recognition, clubs participating in the Prime Volleyball League will become eligible to compete in tournaments organised by the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA), the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), and other FIVB club competitions, subject to qualification criteria. League officials described the recognition as a landmark achievement that will strengthen Indian volleyball and create greater international opportunities for players and clubs.
